CAR BED

Peter has outgrown his crib here at our house. I decided to build him a very homemade toddler bed that looks like a race car. I used foam insulation and covered it with a stucco material to make it light weight but appear to have a hard surface I could paint and decorate. Here are some pictures of my first effort.

Post Thanksgiving

The day after Thanksgiving was spent breaking out some decorations for our relatively brief holiday season here in Oceanside. Since we are leaving for the Chicago two weeks from today we wanted to limit our decorating efforts. Pete helped to open boxes (to his ongoing amazement). He has become quite expert at "opening" boxes and presents. He and his dad helped Debbie with the preparation on her ever-famous snowball cookies in a manner similar to when Terry helped his mom in the kitchen with the same activity many years ago. We have three small trees that Peter and Terry decorated with great care. We had recorded the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade so we all sat and enjoyed that as well. Peter and his mom helped put out the Nativity set.

Deb's Birthday

Halloween, 2009

Peter enjoyed trick or treating in the Monkey costume Grandma Rupple made for him. He was excited about all of the kids in costumes and getting candy everywhere he went.

Deb and I had a marvelous tour of the English country side on a Rick Steves tour as well as the English cities of Bath, York and London. We have many fond memories!

William Emmett

This is William, my namesake, as an infant. His blue eyes, blonde hair, along with his sense of humor make him a very special member of our family.

Skating with Erin Grace

Erin and Pa had a day together in downtown Chicago. Here we are at Millenium park trying our hand at ice skating. Since that time Erin has taken skating lessons and is a very accomplished skater.

Peter Loftus

This is Peter - our California grandchild. He has the most positive personality and enjoys visiting us where he can ride his bike, do Play Do and dance to music.
